WHY CFTAR

Why Instructors Choose CFTAR

We built CFTAR to be the kind of place where instructors want to stay rather than pass through. Here's what that looks like for CFIs and aviation professionals in Southwest Florida.

  • Build Substantial Flight Time

Log 500–1,000+ hours in a structured training program with a steady flow of students across all certification levels.

  • Teach Across All Ratings

Work with students from their first discovery flight through Private, Instrument, Commercial, and Multi-Engine ratings.

  • Exceptional Base Airport

Marco Island Executive Airport (KMKY) is a low-traffic general aviation field with no airline traffic, uncongested airspace, and outstanding Southwest Florida flying weather year-round.

  • Mentorship and Flexible Scheduling

Senior instructors provide mentorship and support. We offer flexible scheduling and a collaborative team culture rather than a revolving door.

  • Live in Naples and Marco Island, FL

Naples and Marco Island offer beaches, warm weather year-round, and a thriving community, without the cost and congestion of larger aviation markets.
